매직톡 스마트 통역기 MagicTalk Smart Translator

SNI Square는 음성 인식 기술을 기반으로 일상생활의 편의를 돕는 제품과 솔루션을 개발하는 스타트업이며, MagicTOK은 그들의 첫 번째 출시 제품이다. 매직톡은 스마트폰과 연동하여 사용하는 통역기로, 두 개의 무지향성 마이크를 활용한 빔포밍(Beamforming) 기술을 통해 지향성 마이크의 특성을 구현하였다. 이를 통해 소음이 심한 환경에서도 음성 인식률을 획기적으로 높였으며, 통역기의 실제 사용 환경을 고려하여 일반적인 스마트폰보다 출력이 높은 고성능 스피커를 내장하였다. SNI Square is a startup that develops various products and solutions to enhance convenience in daily life based on voice recognition technology, and MagicTOK is the first product released by SNI Square. MagicTOK is a translator used in conjunction with a smartphone, utilizing two omnidirectional microphones to achieve the characteristics of a directional microphone, thereby improving voice recognition rates even in noisy environments. Considering the noisy environments where translators are often used, the built-in speaker also features a higher output than typical smartphone speakers.

디자인 및 설계 단계에서는 휴대성을 높이기 위해 부피를 최소화하면서도 최상의 그립감을 제공하도록 부드러운 곡면(Soft curves)을 적극 활용하였다. 특히 사용자가 제품의 기능을 직관적으로 인지할 수 있도록 버튼을 통역 아이콘 모양으로 디자인하여 매직톡만의 독창적인 디자인 아이덴티티를 구축하였다. In the design and engineering process, soft edges were utilized to minimize volume as much as possible while ensuring a comfortable grip for portability. To allow the translator's function to be intuitively recognized from its appearance, the buttons were shaped like translation icons, establishing a distinct design identity for the product.
